POLITICS IN RASTAFARI?

Only the blind can deny the strides Rastafari people are making in controlling InI own destiny.  With the greater visibility comes the greater test of faith and livity.  Still it has been reasoned by some of our elders that the politics developing in Rastafari is becoming as anything else a good & a bad.  As all who serve the King & Queen as ambassadors of the will of right, there will be some that will forget that with "power comes responsibility". There will be those who find ways to become barriers for a natural flow of moral progress because of selfishness.  The vast amount of good ideas and good efforts should be supported by all of InI with the aim of future development.  The concept of grudge, bad mind, envy, malice are the tools of the ungrateful.  We all have our own work orders written in our heart and read in the mind.  Let not InI mind read with the glasses of wrong. InI who have been able to add the log wood to the fire, must I-call our various experience to come to the overstanding of the reality InI face in one shape or another.

FEDS LOOKING FOR BOB MARLEY T-SHIRTS

On the recent Wailers tour, a RastafarI Idren working the tour was shortly detained while Federal agents searched for t-shirts bearing Bob Marley's face.  It was revealed that the Feds were pursuing the band at various venues, buying the shirts to build evidence.  When the Feds decided to execute a search warrant, there were no items to be found (they were sold out).  This investigation reportedly has been brought on by Rita Marley fighting for her late husband's estate.  This saga will continue as long as the outside influences continue to dominate.  For Brother Marley, who gave all parties what they have, this must be a sad Itation.

A CATHOLIC PRIEST IN N.A.M.B.L.A.

The silent hypocrisy that has now caused the Pope and his followers to be devoured in their fire judgment has become the greatest evidence against itself.  The discovery of a celibate Catholic priest with a venereal disease (VD), who plays a prominent role in the North America Man Boy Love Association (NAMBLA), while teaching youths how to shoot drugs is only one case of many.  For those who have now awaken to the problems of the church are at a great loss.  The Catholic church, who has taken a stance on various issues, has defiled itself from within.  Though these problems are surely not just the Catholic church's own, it surely stands as proof that, what is in the dark must come to light and that those who know the right and practice the wrong will be spanked with many strife.

COLIN POWELL'S JOB IN JEOPARDY?   

The continuing destruction of human life in Israel and Palestine has placed the first Black Secretary General in a difficult position.  His recent trip to the area has only stood to prove one thing, that America is fully committed to Israel and its actions.  Though he met with the Palestinian leader it made no difference, for all knew it was to try and appease the world and Arabs to gain support to yet further more war in Iraq.  Powell's credibility has been greatly damaged internationally and even stands as proof to those who saw him as a Black pawn for the current Bush administration.  Though he is popular amongst the scared Americans who in their wildest imagination thinks more violence can stop violence, the growing few are waiting for the fallout between Powell and Bush.

BUSH ADMINISTRATION HIDES FROM INVESTIGATION 

Rep. Cynthia McKenney (Georgia-D) was recently criticized for her statement of calling for an investigation of the government and the Sept. 11th attacks.  She stated that all other major disasters have been investigated and for some reason, everyone has lapsed on the 9-11 attacks, the biggest crime committed on American soil.  An article on CNN.com dated at the end of January 2002, says that Pres. Bush asked Sen. Daschle not to push an investigation of 9-11.  The very week before, it was said VP Cheney place a "rare call" to Sen. Daschle to request the same.  Rep. McKenney says she has the right to be curious of the actions of the administration on behalf of the people.  What other damaging information could come out of such an investigation?  The people may never know.

JESSE JACKSON SAYS: STOCK MARKET, NO LOTTERY

That "wild and crazy guy" Jesse Jackson is in Silicon Valley seeking methods to get more Blacks to invest in the stock market.  The Reverend feels it has been much too long that Black people have used the lottery as an investment tool, when they should really be gambling their money in the stock market.  A dead man knows that the world's economy has been destroyed by the IMF, World Bank, and the US dollar.  Still to have a Reverend find ways for Black people to gamble instead of preaching self-sufficient values proves the SHEPHERDS have gone astray.  Though Rev. Jackson played his role with Dr. King in the Civil Rights Movement, he seems to have forgotten that Black people have always been in the stock market, as a matter of fact.....WE WERE THE STOCK!  With Africa, our brothers and sisters to develop alongside, elders to care for, and sick to be nourished, Reverend Jesse Jackson wants the 10th richest nation on Earth to gamble where as it has always been said, the house always win.

GREATER DEMAND GREATER EFFORTS

In I and I trod, Inity is a must, it would be positive to hear more reasoning that has to do with I and I community, in the islands, in the states, in Europe, and of course in Africa. In order to forward this battle, we must overcome petty prejudice and unite!!!"

The above reasoning was sent to the RastafarI Collective first week.  InI give thanks for the Word Sound Power and find it to be the best question for why the RastafarI Collective is the way it is.  Since the King blessed Our heavens to attempt such a concept, we have touched upon various topics from many corners of Earth.  To develop a world view; an overstanding of the world's issues from all the voices of humanity is key.

INI community has the same issues as most others do.  There is a majority of InI that has absolutely no clue or intention to grasp or be a part of yesterday or today's movements. Yes, though InI community has The greatest truth in our possession, it is diminished by care-less-ness.  History shows that, H.I.M EMPEROR HAILE SELASSIE I'S Moral Progress in Modernization was and still is being tested and fought against by the sole breeders of discontent and poverty, none other than the lazy.

THEN there is still Doubtful Thomas, who in their heart want to hear and see the realities, but due to diminished faith and fear find it difficult to make a firm commitment to the Faith and works.  For without question the pressures are ever increasing and the journey is forever: still as it was told to InI by those before I, A ONE SHOULD NOT TAKE UP THE AXE UNLESS THEM READY TO CHOP DOWN THE TREE.  So there are many who know better and can do better: but for whatever reason find it easier to stand on the side or on the fence as spectators.

The Brave few who the spectators spend their time watching: for the good or bad: Are those who choose to live; instead of existence.  FIRE INGELS seek knowledge, wisemind and iverstanding.  INI who find that Doing what we can, however we can: accept and give thanks for the responsibility of power: given to INI BY THE POWER OF ALL POWERS.

With the various limitations; there is a great stretching forth of hands to make possible the sharing of information.  THE RASTAFARI COLLECTIVE IS AN INTERACTIVE AVENUE FOR THIS PURPOSE OF EDUCATING.  INI have stated before that when such an opportunity of forwarding info at a rate of speed that can cause all to be aware simultaneously, there should be more participation BY ALL.  INI COMMUNITY SHOULD, AS THE I HAS DEMANDED, THAT THOSE HOUSES AND ORGANIZATIONS THAT ARE QUICK TO RUN THE FLAG UP THE POLE: BRING FORWARD NEWS AND IDEAS THROUGH NOT ONLY MEDIUMS AS OURS, BUT THROUGH THOSE WHO HAVE TAKEN THE JOB OF INFORMING INI COMMUNITY.  IT IS THE PROPHET JOHN MARCUS WHO STATED THERE IS NO MOVEMENT WHEN THERE IS NO PAPER TO KEEP THE PEOPLE INFORMED.

THAT IS WHY WE HAVE GIVEN THANKS TO SEE THE RE-ISSUE OF "RASTAFARI SPEAKS", "RAS VIBE," A NEW CONSCIOUS ZINE, "THE PIECE," A NEWSLETTER AND THE COUNTLESS OTHERS INI ONLY PRAY TO WITNESS. VeriChip Successfully Launched Into the U.S. Market With Historic

``Chipping'' of Jacobs Family and Nate Isaacson On May 10, 2002

Applied Digital Solutions, Inc., an advanced technology development company, today announced the successful launch of VeriChip(TM) in the U.S. market with the first-ever "chipping" of the Jacobs family and Nate Isaacson. Nearly 40 major media organizations from around the world covered the event.

NBC's Today show provided live coverage of the Jacobs family "chipping" procedure, which was performed by Jeff Jacobs' physician, Dr. David Wulkan, at the Surgical Associates of Palm Beach County. Surgical Associates, located in Boca Raton, Florida, is the first Authorized VeriChip Center. The Nate Isaacson procedure was performed by Dr. Harvey Kleiner at The Family Health Place, the Authorized VeriChip Center located in Sunrise (Broward County), Florida.

Following this Jacobs family "chipping," the company held a press conference at the Boca Raton Resort & Club. During the press conference, company executives described the business model and the market rollout plans for VeriChip's personal verification applications in the healthcare arena.

Applied Digital's President, Scott R. Silverman, explained in his remarks that the rollout involves three main categories:

-- VeriChip Subscribers (individuals who decide to "get chipped(TM)");

-- Authorized VeriChip Centers (healthcare facilities where the "chipping" procedure takes place); and

-- VeriChip System Affiliates (including hospitals, EMTs, search and rescue units, and urgent care clinics) that will use the proprietary VeriChip scanners to read Subscriber VeriChips.

These three categories are supported by the Global VeriChip Subscriber (GVS) Registry service, which provides immediate access to a secure database containing vital Subscriber personal verification and Subscriber-provided information. By seamlessly integrating the GVS Registry and the proprietary VeriChip scanner, healthcare professionals will have instant access to the vital information provided by the Subscriber such as allergies to medications, medical device implants, pre-existing medical conditions and emergency contact numbers. The entire VeriChip program is designed to save lives in an emergency and enhance the peace of mind of Subscribers and their loved ones.

At first, veterinarian clinics and animal shelters did not have the scanners used for identifying lost pets. To encourage the use of its scanners and ID chips, Digital Angel (previously known as Destron-Fearing Corporation) donated scanners to vets and shelters and provided educational materials about using the pet ID technology. This model has proven to be extremely effective. Digital Angel scanners now enjoy the overwhelming leadership position among U.S. veterinary clinics.
