AFRICA'S YEAR IN REVIEW

InI The Babe and Suckling.com chose to make this the only news report for the end and the beginning of a New Year  and Millennium in the West.  

     The year 2000 was claimed by the UN and the International community as the year of Africa.  It was marked as the year that Africa's issues would take center stage.  A review was reported by "Inside Africa" and an interview with the US Ambassador to the UN, Richard Holbrooke, who had much to say.  

     The mounting pressure from the International community was definitely felt and heard which sparked a few actions, yet there was such an outcry on so many topics that all could not be helped.  The major countries that play significant roles in the UN, such as America, Europe and Asia, are taking few and very little steps in the matter.  First of all, 2000 was the ONLY year and the LAST year of Bill Clinton that African issues were addressed.  Whether this was a part of the administration's plan or just putting Africa in last place, they would be silly to think that after damaging Africa and African people for over 500 hundred years, that one year alone could produce any significant results.  Now with a different administration who has no policy towards Africa (that has been stated publicly), their issues will definitely be put on the back burner.  Still, what must be assessed is what kind of help were these powerful nations contributing towards Africa's upliftment?  

     According to the UN, debt relief, education, health care and development were the top priorities.  According to Holbrooke, to enact these issues with a few of the African countries proved to be very difficult.  He claims that with debt relief, certain African leaders were using the money to build military and their personal wealth.  He stated, "Leaders must do better.  We can't give aid to leaders who will steal it."  With the monies that are not reaching the people, the rest of the issues such as education, health care and development cannot be helped.  Especially with such a health crisis of epidemic proportion.

     Poverty and AIDS are the leading death sentences in Africa to date and will increase at a pace not realized by humanity.  Angola has the highest infant mortality rate and at the same time, it is one of the richest countries on the continent.  The US has been exporting 7% of its oil from Angola and for the last 36 years.  According to Holbrooke, he would like to know where all this money is going?  Pharmaceutical companies overseas are not sending in medicines because the African countries cannot pay the high rates.  Meanwhile diamonds are being stolen from Sierra Leone by the RUF, who is backed by President Taylor of Liberia.    

     War, which destroys and enhances the problems of the continent rears on full steam ahead.  With the influence of European countries which seek to keep them fighting while the wealth is exploited is a practice that must be ceased.  With wars in the Congo, Ethiopia, Eritrea, Sierra Leone, Liberia, New Guinea, Rwanda, Uganda, just to name a few; according to Holbrooke, there is no way to help these situations and he felt that to go into any of these regions would only complicate the matters.  Mr. Holbrooke also stated that to bring military intervention into any of the conflicts would have a detrimental effect upon such forces.  He used for example the situation in the Baulkins and showed how the intervention went sour.  He continued to say that the Congo is 200x the size of the Baulkins and would be 200x the fight.  With such vast problems, this becomes an International Security issue for Africa is still very important for its wealth and geographic location.  Especially in the area of the Suez Canal and the "Middle East" where the crisis has now developed into WAR and there is no end in site.  

     The final issue according to Holbrooke was democracy.  A few African countries held elections this year.  One of the latest elections took place in Ghana where the opposition party headed by Kufuor was elected and defeated Vice President Mills 57.42% to 42.58%, respectively.  President Rawlings will be the first President in Ghana to hand over power after 18 years.  Elections held in other countries, such as Senegal, South Africa, Zanzibar, the Ivory Coast, Zimbabwe, and Nigeria, all had varying results from violence to celebrations.   Holbrooke stated that without any significant person, representative, or government that can stand as an example of democracy, it will be more difficult to get the UN and International community to give concrete relief.  

     Taking these facts and opinions into consideration, and now entering into the 21st century, the question becomes how will Africa arise to take its rightful place?  What role will the Africans at home and Africans abroad play in securing stability and growth in the entire continent of Africa?  How will modern day technology speed up the process and how will the people of Africa exclusively benefit?

BLACK CAUCUS  FORCED TO FIGHT FOR BLACK VOTING RIGHTS, AGAIN

January 6, 2001----During the official Electoral Ratification of Votes in the 2000 Presidential Election, members of the Black Caucus objected and protested in a walkout, the votes in Florida and the election in general.  The objections arose because of the vast illegal tactics used to stop legitimate Black voters from voting.  With such a close election, the votes which could have mattered most were not counted, or in some counties voters did not vote at all.  According to a few of the members, they received complaints that people were labeled as felons and harassed by the police.  These are the same tactics used against Black voters in the 1960's when they first earned their right to vote.  However, the objections could not be recognized by the presiding President of the joint session, Vice-President and Presidential Candidate Al Gore, for the objections had to be in writing with a signature from a Representative AND a Senator.  The shame is that there is no Senator, Democratic or Republican who will sign any of the objections given by the 13 Black Caucus members.  To say the objections would have stood, it would have thrown the election into another whirlwind.  Still it will be noted for history that these Representatives who represent 91% of the Black voters stated publicly that they DO NOT recognize Presidential Elect George W. Bush as the winner of a FAIR election.        The Black Caucus members went further to state that they will not conduct business as usual and will fight with the people to see that their children's voting rights are fairly and justly protected.  For as Rep. Eddie Bernice Johnson (D-Texas) stated, "I marched in the 1960s for the right to vote so that my son will have that chance, now my son is 40 years old with 3 children and I am still marching."        The major media networks have down played the actions taken by the Black Caucus to such a degree that they make themselves guilty of a coverup.  They are telling the world that Democrats protested the election, when they know that it is Black People who are protesting the election; NOT on the behalf of Al Gore, but on the behalf of all the ancestors who have suffered in this country for 500+ years and still in the age of such new advancement and such higher thinking that such low and desperate tactics would be used to stop the natural birth of Black citizens of this country from voting.  It brings up the same question again, when will the Black people overstand that they have no power and no authority in a government that has yet to recognize them as a citizen, much less as an equal.  People who called major networks stated their opinions and the racial divide of the opinions can be clearly heard and seen.  This will make the situation escalate to a point where no one seems to understand the ramifications.       For the non-voters who took no part, they are rejoicing a bitter sweet victory.  These are the people who always stated that the political parties of America and around the world that do not reflect them in their views much less their complexion, have no interest in their personal welfare whatsoever.  Now that the fact is: Blacks do not recognize Bush as their President.  Will they be the people without representation or will they spend the new millennium fighting against a man who will stop at nothing to keep his control? or Will they be constructive and build themselves and their true home?

Iraqi Paintings: Hot Items on World Market

The embargos placed on the Iraqi people have devastated them financially and physically, but has not broken them mentally.  There is a great renaissance going on with Iraqi artists.  The people are painting their feelings of the sufferation and how as people they are dealing with it.  Many new art galleries have opened in Iraq and is bringing money to the painters and their families.  Even though it is very difficult because the demand is rising on the world market, ways are being sought to have these paintings exported.  Hopefully when these big art exhibits and curators find ways to smuggle the paintings out the country, they will find a way to smuggle in food and medication for the people.

The Colombia Plan

The war on drugs has gone into a realm of destructiveness once again.  The Colombia Plan is an organized idea of committing one all out assault on the coca growers and dealers as well as the militia that protects them.  The plan is being highly criticized by many in the South American region for the blood shed and carnage would be very high.  The assault would also cause a refugee problem for neighboring countries like Ecuador, who believes they will be dragged into the conflict.  The poor people of the targeted areas will make up the refugees and the casualties of this plan, which is also backed by the US government.  At present, plans are in the process of being worked out with the neighboring countries to ease the burden that such a conflict would bring.

ON THE FIRST DAY OF THE NEW MILLENNIUM A MESSAGE FROM RAS JAHAZIEL January, 2001

In the early hours of the morning of the first day of the new millennium, the word that came to I. ARE YOU BECOMING MORE LOCKED DOWN IN THE CONCRETE TIME-BOMB OR DRAWING CLOSER TO HIS MAJESTY'S GARDEN ? On the dawning of this new millennium it is imperative that every ship take a fresh stock of its course and make those necessary corrections which alone can guarantee safe harbor. It is a long time now that the cry has gone out over land and sea, "COME OUT OF BABYLON" and the Rasta Nation is the one that is supposed to have answered that call and set sail to THE HIGHER REGIONS OF HUMAN EXISTENCE. But the only way that one can determine how far the ship has progressed along the way is by having a clear overstanding of what one needs to be coming out of, and a clear vision of where one is supposed to be going. One has to know what type of existence has to be left behind and what is the desired state of being that one is supposed to be climbing to. One sure thing is that the journey must be A COMPLETE BREAK WITH THE TORTURED LEGACY OF SLAVERY AND COLONIALISM. Look at mummy and daddy's experience, and the generations before them who were all born locked down on Hell Plantation and died locked down on Hell Plantation. They were all LIFE LONG SLAVES. Most of their waking hours were spent building the white man's kingdom, and whilst creating wealth for the Massa, generation after generation they handed down poverty and hand-to-mouth-ness to their offspring, The dictionary defines a "ZOMBIE" as "a dead person who has been brought back to life AND IS COMPLETELY SUBJECT TO THE WILL OF A SORCERER" This is exactly what has happened for over 500 years. THE BLACK MAN'S SPIRIT WAS KILLED AND HIS WILL BROKEN SO THAT HE SHOULD BE COMPLETELY SUBMISSIVE TO THE WILL OF THE WHITE MAN. Although big in muscle, his mind has been squeezed into child-like obedience to the command of his captors.. Surely, coming out of Babylon must entail a complete break with this long continuing cycle of CONCRETE SLAVERY. Every day one must check to see that one is not repeating the same existence that plagued the lives of one's parents. If one is not making a departure from the Plantation system, then the Plantation system is steadily tightening it's grip. It will not cease from tightening it's grip until one is a complete ZOMBIE, just living to carry out the orders of another man. This is the contented lot of the mindless, but it is not the path for the liberated ones who have set their sights on stepping out of Babylon. Look at this present generation in the concrete jungle. After more than 500 years on HELL PLANTATION they are still LANDLESS, and that is why they are PERMANENT CONSUMERS living from RENT to RENT, always occupying a temporary scotch IN THE CONCRETE. The majority have no "EDUCATION" so they are therefore confined to swallowing their pride and running errands for the white boy. Because of ignorance, they are not bothered about the fact that they are LANDLESS. They are only dreaming of getting a better job so that they can move up THE CONSUMER LADDER That is a slave mentality. Stepping out of Babylon must mean liberating oneself from the grinding cycle of Concrete Slavery and TOTAL DEPENDENCE ON SELLING CHEAP LABOR at the factory. The children of His Majesty are diligently seeking a higher way. Being made the wiser through observing past generations who never got out of the ZOMBIE stage and only passed it on to their children, the chosen ones that sight the glory of the KING OF KINGS must be most careful not to continue the cycle by passing it on to the next generation. AWARENESS of the Ivinity of HAILE I SELASSIE I THE FIRST must mean that one has risen up to make the change, for THE KING'S HIGHWAY must be much different from the Zombie's low way. As Malcolm once said "ANY REAL REVOLUTION IS ABOUT LAND." Show I a revolution where the people are not seeking land and one is looking at a people who are only making sport. BLACK MAN, BLACK MAN, WHERE IS YOUR LAND ? Where are your fields, where are your hills ? Where are the Rasta man's vineyards ? It is time you recall the right to have your very own. Show I a Binghi where LAND is not on the agenda and that Binghi is only religious entertainment. Look at the CONCRETE JUNGLE and the reality that faces those that have NOT been favored with "EDUCATION." If one is not of the privileged few who benefit from Babylon's education system, then as one's family increases and one's needs escalate, one will be more relentlessly driven into the bondage of A LOW-PAY CONCRETE SLAVE. Even the better educated find themselves in bondage, but LOW-PAY BONDAGE is definitely not for the royal one. History and experience will show that Concrete Slavery is a many-armed Octopus whose grip tightens on its victims day by day in a deathly strangle-hold which eventually renders them SPIRITUALLY DEAD, CULTURALLY DEAD, and sometimes even physically dead. This is why the wise man studies history and analyses the lives of the older generation and those that have gone before. He studies the Plantation System and makes himself familiar with it's schemes. He is well aware that when CHATTEL SLAVERY was supposed to have been abolished, the scheme was set in place to maintain LOCATED LABOR. From the burdensome and controlling debt of SHARE-CROPPING right down to the present time, economic schemes have been set in place to see to it that slaves remain tightly bound to THE PLANTATION SYSTEM. Knowing the naturalness and the inevitability of FAMILY, those that needed to maintain slave labor saw how they could BREAK, TAME AND CONTROL the spirit of a once fiercely independent people by utilizing to their advantage the need for JOB SECURITY that comes with increased economic needs. Whereas, in natural conditions, increase in family should mean greater strength to the Black nation, under the Plantation arrangement it has meant MORE HELPLESS CHEAP LABORERS FOR THE FACTORY and greater dominion and control over the race. The OWNERS saw that with increased family responsibilities the family provider would be less likely to rebel, and more willing to COMPROMISE and settle down for the slavery deal. With such an economic grip on the Black family, REBELLION would be out of the question and A SUBMISSIVE AND SECURE LABOR FORCE would be guaranteed forever. What are the implications of being a low-paid concrete slave? It not only means border-line malnutrition, but if the past trend is any indication, it means that there is a great probability that one will be handing down to one's offspring the same slave situation that one inherited from one's parents. THAT IS UNLESS THE CYCLE IS BROKEN. So in this symbolic sailing of the ship from out of Babylon, BREAKING THE CYCLE OF CONCRETE SLAVERY is the challenge at hand. Every other concern pales into insignificance when compared to this soul-destroying legacy of Plantation Slavery. The greatest hindrance in breaking the cycle is UNCONSCIOUSNESS, IGNORANCE AND THE INHERITED IN-DISCIPLINE OF THE SLAVE MENTALITY, for through the presence of such mentality, the Slave Master no longer has to hold the chains. SLAVES through their IN-DISCIPLINE see to it that the chains remain as strong as ever. His Majesty always pointed out that IGNORANCE must be vanquished if BLACK ZION is to materialize again. IGNORANCE is killing the Black man all over Africa. IGNORANCE has created the situation in present day Ethiopia, and IGNORANCE is preventing the Black Man from escaping the chains of Concrete Slavery in the Caribbean, in America, and throughout the globe. IGNORANCE does not necessarily mean not being schooled or having University qualifications, but not opening one's intuitive eye to see the stark reality of one's situation and adopting the disciplines that are necessary to ESCAPE. Freedom from such IGNORANCE brings CONSCIOUSNESS which in turn establishes RIGHT PRIORITIES. CONSCIOUS NATION BUILDING STARTS WITH THE MIND ORDERING ITSELF AROUND RIGHT PRIORITIES. Hear the words of H.I.M : " Man does not live by bread alone. The spiritual life does not deny, however, the need for bread. Therefore, the spiritual life of humanity must necessarily include the common aspiration of all of us for a better standard of living and for greater improvement in the quality of human existence." This is especially true in this time of the Armagiddyon. CONSCIOUS NATION BUILDING therefore not only focuses on establishing right moral character, but also on LAND. Any Nation that is without land is A VULNERABLE SERVANT NATION responding to the orders and commands of other Nations. The people who have THE USE OF LAND can employ their CREATIVITY to find food on the prophesied day when the Super Markets close. People that have no land are always driven to taking orders or turning to crime when times get rough, just to survive. It is only CARELESS ETHIOPIANS that pin their faith on Super markets. So this is the serious reality that must be addressed NOW in this time. All the Black Man's past and present experiences on HELL PLANTATION point convincingly to the need as His Majesty said for GREATER IMPROVEMENT IN THE QUALITY OF HUMAN EXISTENCE. The way of life to which the Black Man/Black Woman has been relegated is definitely not conducive to the development of ROYALTY. In light of this legacy of Plantation Slavery now manifesting itself in its new guise as CONCRETE SLAVERY, it is time to ask oneself some questions. "ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH THE LIFE YOU'RE LIVING?" Are you satisfied with living according to the Slave master's program ? Are you satisfied with living life for the sole purpose of maintaining the Slave master's Plantation even though you have done so for more than 500 long years now ? Are you satisfied with the vulnerably landless condition of being totally dependent on the Slave master for food ? Are you satisfied with having all your food locked up in the Slave master's barn ? Should the nation who has been given the knowledge of THE JUDGEMENTS OF THE BOOK OF REVELATION be satisfied with the dollar bill being their LIFE LINE ? Should the Nation that is chanting down Babylon not be less dependent upon THE MERCHANTS OF BABYLON ? Should the Nation who has seen the vision of NATURAL FOODS be eating from the hands of those that glory in the pig ? Are we producing more laborers for the factory in the same way as our parents did, or are we creating the conditions that will see a different and much higher life for our children ? What about the matter of TIME? Is THE RAT RACE for mere food survival stretching us out to the point where there is no TIME left for providing the proper nurturing conditions that will shield the children from the mark of the beast ? Are our creative energies continuing to be sapped and drained because of being chained to the boring, non-inspiring and non-creative day-to-day routine of a slave ? Surely, this slave inheritance must change if the ship of redemption is ever to reach THE HIGHER REGIONS OF HUMAN EXISTENCE. So the TRUTH must be faced that every day one is either getting more FREER or becoming more TRAPPED in the CONCRETE JUNGLE TIME-BOMB that was built by Slave masters for the purpose of housing a cheap labor force of slave descendants. By the DISCIPLINES OR LACK THEREOF that govern one's life, one is either becoming more chained or less chained. It is never too often to ask the question, ARE YOU SATISFIED WITH THE LIFE YOU'RE LIVING ? Do not forget that this present "REALITY" is the product of one people's vision. One people created this reality and another people can create another reality. Contrary to slave thinking, "REALITY" IS NOT SOMETHING THAT ONE MUST ACCEPT. ANY REALITY THAT IS MADE BY MAN CAN BE CHANGED BY MAN. It will not be changed however, by just kneeling and praying. It will not be changed by just chanting and beating drums. It will not be changed by just wishing and hoping. It will not be changed by CONTINUING IN THE INDISCIPLINE OF A SLAVE. It can only be changed by visualizing clearly, continuously and unwaveringly that higher state of human existence, and adopting the disciplines that will ensure its attainment. One is best advised not to continue to walk in the way of one's parents, for they had no VISION other than that which was given to them by the Slave master. That vision told them to be faithful concrete slaves in the land of the living and hope for the sweet by-and-by after death. As CONSCIOUS AFRICAN PEOPLE who have seen the light of The King of Kings, Haile I Selassie I The First, I and I have been given A VISION TO YOD UP IN A FREE ONE'S LAND, a vision to trod up in a royal inheritance that is in no way like unto the slave inheritance. HIGH ORDER, HIGH ORDER, HIGH ORDER. Only HIGH ORDER can take one there. STRICT SELF-DISCIPLINE AND A FOCUSED VISION that refuses to be distracted is the only pathway that will ultimately break the cycle of concrete slavery. Without the opportunity to plant some food, without education and without marketable skills, all one is left with is TIME AND HARD LABOR which one must sell cheaply on the job market. Rough times have already forced many in the direction of crime and eventual housing in the prison industrial complex. This is what is happening right now as the desperate seek to abate their children's hunger. These are the stark realities and the vicious traps from which the ship of CLEAR VISION must sail. A higher vision and a higher Irate dictate that I and I seek a higher way of feeding the Rasta family and a higher way of utilizing I and I time other than selling it to a PIG-EATING BOSS. The PIG-EATER should not have dominion over I and I. In the Slave master's scheme, one praises "GOD" on Sundays and gives ones strength to the Beast from Monday to Saturday. That is how come the Slave master's kingdom has been growing from strength to strength and the Black Man's Kingdom has been falling into disrepair and getting weaker and weaker and more dependant and more dependant. THE HIGHER VISION is to serve the King with all I and I heart, all I and I soul, all I and I mind, all I and I time and all I and I strength. Not one little bit belongs to the ole Slave master. If this VISION is not kept firmly before the eye, the new millennium will see African people continuing to carry THE MARK OF THE BEAST, for WHERE THERE IS NO VISION THE PEOPLE PERISH. Got to overcome the slave breaking process and burn the Boss. It is going to take collective and organized effort, it is going to take the kind of commitment to being free like what THE MAROONS had, it is going to take a willingness to let go some of the "comforts" for the sake of one's soul, it is going to take a renewed sense of SELF-ESTEEM which equips one with a consciousness that says I and I were not formed by HIS MAJESTY to serve the PIG-EATER, for I AND I ARE IVINE AND ROYAL CREATORS INSPIRED BY THE HEAD CREATOR. The time is already here when one will have to make a decision concerning the value of one's soul. Is it worth anything or should it be exchanged for some comforts in the CONCRETE TIME-BOMB. The past 500 years saw the Black Nation being maneuvered into a state of complete dependency. In every corner of the globe he is in TOTAL DEPENDENCY. In this millennium, all dependent nations will have to make a pact with the Beast. That is why from the very beginning, the goal of Rastafari has always been INDEPENDENCE and SELF-SUFFICIENCY. Seeing that the MARK OF THE BEAST will be the consequence of NOT achieving such goals, this ought to be all the motivation that one needs for closing ranks and desisting from any form of action that will make one more dependent on the Slavery system. Every one must ask themselves, am I walking along a path that is increasing my need to bow and compromise my integrity? Is THE YOKE OF THE CONCRETE JUNGLE TIME-BOMB getting ever tighter around my neck each day ? It is not funny, SLACK DISCIPLINE WILL BE THE DEATH OF THE CARELESS ETHIOPIAN. Those that are going to escape the mark of the beast are those that have mustered within themselves a supreme determination to put down the old slavery yoke and be truly free, NO MATTER WHAT SACRIFICE IT TAKES. Failing this, it then means that one has grown accustomed and content with bowing and taking orders, one is content with having another race make laws to govern one's existence and FULL KNOTS LIBERATION IS NOT REALLY ON ONE'S MIND. Remember Marcus said "UP YE MIGHTY PEOPLE, YOU CAN CONQUER WHATSOEVER YOU WILL." WILL TO DO WHATSOEVER IS NECESSARY TO BE TRULY FREE IN THIS NEW MILLENNIUM.

THE GHANA "RIGHT OF RETURN" BILL sent by RAS JAHAZIEL

RIGHT OF RETURN BILL INFORMATION COMING FROM THE AFRICAN WORLD REPARATIONS AND TRUTH COMMISSION : GHANA has taken one of the boldest initiatives on the African continent in recent times by passing BILL #573 which recognizes her sons and daughters who were taken illegally from Africa into bondage to the Americas. IMMIGRATION BILL #573 WILL GRANT "THE RIGHT OF ABODE" TO AFRICAN SLAVE DESCENDANTS OF THE DIASPORA TO LIVE IN GHANA. Moreover, in the spirit of UNIFICATION, the Ghana National House of Chiefs will be requested to issue a statement of support for REPARATIONS AND REPATRIATION by July 2001. Also The Traditional Rulers will be encouraged to set land aside for RESETTLEMENT and DEVELOPMENT in the areas of AGRICULTURE, SMALL SCALE INDUSTRY AND EDUCATION. ---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This ought to be welcome news for all that are seeking a piece of ground to plant some corn. What is needed for I AND I who intend to take advantage of such opportunities, is to ORDER I and I selves RESPONSIBLY in COLLECTIVE UNITS with A PLAN OF ACTION that can be presented to host Governments. Mother Nature's Fury

The weather patterns that humanity witnessed in 2000, have yet to cease and desist.  Since the beginning of the new millennium, there have been reported stories of FIRES, EARTHQUAKES, VOLCANIC ERUPTIONS, DEADLY SNOW STORMS, AND FRIGID COLD.   Most of these natural occurrences have been happening in places where they have not experienced such conditions or have not dealt with it on such a great level.  To think this is just January, it makes one wonder how the rest of the year will turn out.  Many of these places have been marked as natural disaster areas, due to the destruction of property and business loss as well as the uprooting of many families.  Weather officials have yet to say what is causing these unusual weather patterns.  They are saying that it is not an effect of El Nino/La Nina.   The faithful will be the first to tell you that there is no disputing where these weather patterns are coming from.  Not only is it sign and wonders, but the global destruction that causes global warming is a major factor.  The earth has to heal itself by any means necessary.

January 11, 2001--The AIDS virus is surging like a prairie fire through black communities in the United States. The epidemic is not getting anything like the attention it deserves. The Centers for Disease Control now believes that one in every 50 black American men is infected with H.I.V. That is an astonishing statistic. AIDS is the leading cause of death for African-Americans between the ages of 25 and 44. While blacks are just 13 percent of the U.S. population, more than half of all new H.I.V. infections occur among blacks. Blacks are 10 times more likely than whites to be diagnosed with AIDS, and 10 times more likely to die from it. This would be a good time for black Americans to say, enough. The disease is concentrated in inner-city neighborhoods, where AIDS orphans have become ubiquitous. The suffering caused by the disease is all but unbearable. In some cases, entire families are being wiped out. You can put away the notion that AIDS is a disease that primarily affects gay white males. That story has changed. Black women, for example, are becoming infected at a frightening rate.  They account for 64 percent of all new infections among women in the U.S. One in every 160 black women is believed to be infected with H.I.V. By comparison, one in 250 white men is infected, and one in 3,000 white women. Alarms should be clanging from coast to coast. The idea that black Americans would submit quietly to this level of devastation from AIDS as if no lessons had been learned from the pandemic in Africa is repellent. "It's an overwhelming problem in the African-American community," said Dr. Helene Gayle, who heads the H.I.V. programs at the Centers for Disease Control. "It has continued to increase along a trajectory that we had talked about for a long time." There are myriad factors contributing to the spread of H.I.V. and AIDS among blacks. Information about the threat of AIDS has not been disseminated widely or effectively enough, particularly among youngsters who feel they are invulnerable. Joe Pressley, an official with the New York AIDS Coalition, told me about a 15-year-old girl who said: "Don't tell me nothin' about no AIDS because that won't impact me. And if I was to get it, all I'd have to do is take a pill in the morning and I'll be O.K." Intravenous drug users spread the virus among themselves by sharing needles, and pass it on to their partners through sexual contact. Other types of drug use can lead to poor judgment about sexual behavior, including the practice of trading sex for crack and other substances. Dr. Gayle mentioned the higher rates of other sexually transmitted diseases among blacks and noted that they help fuel the spread of AIDS. And the extremely high rates of H.I.V. infection among black men drug users and men who have sex with both men and women have made black women especially vulnerable to infection from heterosexual contact. Many blacks are poor and lack access not only to health care information and preventive services in general, but even to necessary treatment once they fall ill. There was widespread denial in the black community for years about the spread of AIDS among African- Americans, in part because of the powerful stigmas attached to AIDS, homosexuality and IV drug use. Enormous numbers of blacks with the virus suffered in silence and shame, unable to tell their families or even their ministers. At the same time, the attention of the wider public and the bulk of the services related to H.I.V. and AIDS were geared to the community of white gay men, which in the beginning was the epicenter of the problem. Some voices are now being raised in opposition to this raging epidemic in the black community. The consciousness of the black clergy is slowly being elevated. Politicians are beginning to speak out. But voices here and there are not enough. Nothing less than a mighty chorus is needed to cope with this overwhelming tragedy a chorus comparable in its seriousness of purpose to the civil rights movement. Julian Bond, chairman of the N.A.A.C.P., has been trying to get out the following, absolutely crucial message: "This has become a black disease. Stop thinking about this as something that happens to somebody else. Because it happens to us."

How can you accept THE CONCEPT OF A BLACK GOD when after conceptualizing in your mind that BLACK is evil, THE DICTIONARY goes on to teach you that WHITE means "free from malice or evil intent, not harmful, morally or spiritually pure and innocent, honorable, fair, decent" capable of no evil except THE OCCASIONAL WHITE LIE. How can you erase these LITTLE WHITE LIES from your head when you have pinned your faith in the idea that THE DICTIONARY is the final judge in determining what is what ?

SHASHEMENE, Ethiopia - A Jamaican lilt rises in Albert Allen’s voice as he chants the multiples of five in English to a group of wiggly children in the cement-block Rasta Community School. Not satisfied with their response, he switches to Amharic, the national language of Ethiopia, the land of emperor Haile Selassie - the man revered by Allen and his fellow Rastafarians as the manifestation of God. Tall and thin, his dreadlocks stuffed inside a gray beret, the 43-year-old Allen was trained as a civil engineer in Jamaica and came to Ethiopia a decade ago to realize the dream of going home to Africa. “We are not here in numbers, but we are here as pioneers,” he said of the small community of Rastafarians of Afro-Caribbean origin who have settled in Shashemene, a market town of 50,000 people 275 kilometres (170 miles) south of the capital, Addis Ababa. The community stands out in Ethiopia, where many people are Ethiopian Orthodox Christians who are often puzzled by the Rastafarians. Rastafarians consider Haile Selassie, whose name before his 1930 coronation was Ras Tafari Makonnen, as the messiah of the black man. On Nov. 5, the remains of Haile Selassie, who died in 1975 while held by the military junta that overthrew him a year earlier, were reburied in a colourful, emotional ceremony in Trinity Cathedral in Addis Ababa. But Allen and his fellow Rastafarians do not believe he is dead. They believe he transcends mere mortality. “We’re not interested in the body. We’re interested in the spirit,” Allen said of the 83-year-old emperor, whose remains were discovered in 1992, a year after the military regime was ousted. “He was, and he still is, the spirit and the force for all the black people, wherever they are.” Haile Selassie was the last emperor in a line that royalists believe reaches back to King Solomon and the Queen of Sheba. Ethiopia, once known as Abyssinia, is the oldest independent black nation on Earth. In the early decades of the 20th century when European colonialism still stretched around the world, a back-to-Africa movement was born in Jamaica among the descendents of former slaves. “Look to Africa, where a black king shall be crowned, for the day of deliverance is here,” the movement’s founder, Marcus Garvey, said in 1927. Three years later, Ras Tafari assumed the throne in Addis Ababa as Haile Selassie I, King of Kings, Lord of Lords, Conquering Lion of the Tribe of Judah, Elect of God and Emperor of Ethiopia. Ethiopia had begun to encourage educated African-Americans to come and help build a modern society. Not many did. It wasn’t until 1955 that 200 hectares (500 acres) of the emperor’s personal land in Shashemene were offered to “black people of the West” to settle on. It took until 1971 for the first to arrive. At its height, the Rasta community numbered around 2,500, most of whom were farmers like their Ethiopian neighbours. There are now about 1,000. Gladstone Robinson, 71, who had lived in Barbados and Philadelphia, said he was among the first dozen Rastafarians to claim land in Shashemene. “Regardless of what people say about these bones, Haile Selassie is alive and well and will live in the trees and the mountains and the grass and in my heart,” said Robinson, a former U.S. Army medic who set up five pharmacies in Ethiopia during the emperor’s reign. Today, Robinson and his large family live on his monthly U.S. Social Security check of dlrs 500, a tidy sum in this poor country. He is concerned about restrictions placed by Prime Minister Meles Zenawi’s government on the immigration of more Rastafarians. “We’re not expatriate- we’re repatriates. We’re coming home,” Robinson said. Jemal Ibrahim, head of the Foreigner Department of the Ethiopian Immigration uthority, said there are no restrictions on Rastafarians or other Caribbean blacks visiting Ethiopia as tourists. But if they want to become residents, they must get work permits like all other foreigners. Besides its best known practitioner, the late Jamaican singer Bob Marley, Rastafarianism is most often associated with the smoking of marijuana. Called “ganja” in Jamaica, it was traditionally used there in folk remed)@before the advent of the Rastafarians, who believe it encourages the calm necessary for religious meditation. But Allen and other members of the Rasta community in Shashemene are impatient with the stereotype of the ganja-smoking, reggae-singing Rastafarian. “People should not always see us as smoking ganja; they should see us from other angles as what we can do,” said Allen, who has taken it upon himself to make sure the Rasta community’s 100 children get extra teaching after normal school hours. Among the subjects is English. Many of the children have Rasta fathers and Ethiopian mothers and tend to speak Amharic. Janet McLaughlin, who was born in Britain to immigrants from the Caribbean island of Dominica, first visited Ethiopia as a tourist in 1987. She returned a year later to marry a Rastafarian carpenter. “Everything suited me, everything fit,” the 42-year-old mother of five said as birds twittered in the trees and the sun shone on a garden filled with flowers. “There’s no regrets at all. Ethiopia is so vastly different from England. The peace of mind, you would never get that in England.”

With this in mind, he deliberately schemes to PLANT LIFE-LONG IDOLS IN THEIR SOULS by creating an addiction to the enticing magical objects that he manufactures. Filling his playground with every manner of TOY, the Beast convinces his prey that the beautiful playground IS THE BEST COUNTRY IN THE WORLD. Within the space of time that it takes for the child to grow to an adult, IDOL WORSHIP is firmly in control, leading its victim to THE DARK SOUL-CONFINING DUNGEONS OF LIFE-LONG FINANCIAL DEBT TO THE MAKER OF IDOLS. It is no wonder that the Beast has been able to build so many TEMPLES TO THE IDOLS OF VANITY in the hearts of so many, for THE ART OF PACKAGING AND MARKETING is a science that he has well refined. The power of THE PACKAGE is so enchanting that many say to the Beast, "Oh Beast, just let me have one of your ENTICING IDOLS, let me have one of your BEAUTIFUL PALACES, let me have one of your FINE CHARIOTS, let me have some of your AMAZING GADGETS, I will give you anything in return." And the Beast says, "SURE, don't worry, that is easy, just SIGN HERE and promise me that I will have your TIME to use in one of my factories for at least the next 40 years." Before they know it the TIME expands to A WHOLE LIFE TIME. A life time of paying back THE DEBT for the pretty idols of Babylon.  It does not matter what religion or faith one professes, for The Beast knows that if you give your FAITH to one God but your TIME and your STRENGTH to another, the one that has YOUR TIME AND YOUR STRENGTH is the one that has the real control. It is not hard to see therefore, why under The Beast's Pay-Back-Plan, "RELIGION" becomes something that one only practices on Sundays or Saturdays, because the next six days of the week, one is TOO BUSY in the Beast's sweat shop. It is not hard to see why the tender plant of TRUTH finds it so hard to take root in THE LAND OF IDOLS, for nobody has TIME. They all say "TRUTH, we have no TIME for you now, we are too busy "GETTING THROUGH." This is why in THE LAND OF IDOLS, "RELIGION" can find more places to live than TRUTH, for it is easier to practice Religion than it is to practice TRUTH. To practice TRUTH one may have to sacrifice some comforts and give up some IDOLS, one may have to be CREATIVE, one may have to be boldly SELF-CONFIDENT, one may have to unite with others of one's own kind, one may have to sit still and listen inside, one may have to be lest stiff-necked and listen to the witnesses of TRUTH, so that is how come when TRUTH looks for a place to dwell, so many will say, "TRUTH, We have no place for you now. WHAT YOU SAY IS TRUTH..............BUT."

Praises are itinual and infinite and it is plesant for us to come give Ises together. But true Godly Livity is found in a community which is able to recognize its problems and not ignore them. To educate, employ, help, and serve unselfishly others who are in need is righteousness. To serve others is the highest praise a human can give. Many within I and I community which is scattered are without work, without education, without proper psychological preparation to face life issues, and we can not move forward leaving some of us behind. While the world devides itself into conflicting groups, fighting and killing each other off; we should be facing, in this twenty first century,the true task that Haile Sellassie has given I and I to tackle. 1->To eliminate poverty and discrimination and provide equal opportunity, not just for I and Iselves, but for all. 2->To cope with new problems produced by technological advances, pollution, population explosion, and social changes. 3->To plan to achieve a good future for all HUMAN BEINGS, and to do this unselfishly and within the meditation of the Most High. It is a tough task, but with sacrifice and love, Rastafari could be at the forefront in bettering all human communities (misconditions). If these tasks are ignored, then I and I movement will just end up like the conflicting groups out there killing itself off. Let's make a difference. The people can forgive, but can they forget?

When the shit hit the fan, the breeze seemed to blow it in every direction possible.  The destructive step that the Rev. Jesse Jackson has taken has manifested itself to the world as the beginning of the end of false preachers leading the children astray.  His so-called mistake has cost the Black people, poor and have-nots, youths, and some of the haves, more than anything else for history has definitely repeated itself.  The previous civil rights leader, Martin Luther King Jr., was also put in the same position by having his affair revealed by the head of the FBI, Hoover.  It is not the case that it is a personal matter, but it is a moral leader with a very high position that compromised his vow to the ALMIGHTY by seeking vain pleasure. Now any serious person that knows and has a fear of the ALMIGHTY and has been blessed to rise to a stature in the sight of the ALMIGHTY must know to fall short by a sin that he knowingly and willingly participated in could never be belittled as a mistake more than it is an ABOMINATION.  For when you do the wrong and know the right, you will get spanked with many strife, as it is written.  The major problem now is how can the people have an immoral leader take them into a spiritual battle and really expect victory.   To the FATHERS AND MOTHERS that hold firm to the vows that they make, be not dismayed for we will be able to prove that a true fear of the ALMIGHTY and self-respect will ALWAYS prevent you from going astray.  Rev. Jackson is a man of the cloth for more than 40 years and has seen children born and grow in the philosophies from which he has taught.  To be a such a teacher and to live so different can only be destructive to the people.  No one can say this is the first time he has done it, but it is the first time he has been caught.  That was the mistake.   Yes, forgiveness will always be given because that is the word of the ALMIGHTY.  To forget and move along with a man who has committed such a crime with no punishment for embarrassing the people would be no different than hiring John Ashcroft. InI will conclude with a teaching InI received from an elder:  A brethren came to King Emmanuel and said he could not fight any longer and was told by King Emmanuel, "You should not have taken up the axe if you were not ready to chop down the tree."  So I ask, when you know you cannot be upright and true, please do not come amongst InI and be false, for having to deal with the weak hearts will take away precious time from the true works of the ALMIGHTY.

As the long, agonizing struggle comes to a close and a new President prepares to take office, he is under what is known as "the Indian curse."  Intelligent people do not pay attention to curses and other superstitious notions.  However, this so called "Indian curse" has historical support.  Every president elected in a year ending in "0" has died in office or has had a devastating tragedy befall him while in office.  The only President elected in a "0" who did not die while in office was Ronald Reagan, and he barely escaped death from an assassin's bullet. What is the origin of this frightening "Indian curse?"  It began late in the year 1811, when Territorial Governor William Henry Harrison and a force of 1,000 men destroyed a Shawnee Indian village on the Tippecanoe River in northern Indiana.  The Shawnee chief was named Tecumseh.  He was a highly intelligent and skilled military leader whom the British had made a Brigadier General in the War of 1812.  Tecumseh was given command of all Indian forces fighting the Americans.  After the war, Chief Tecumseh made an unsuccessful attempt to unite all Indians in a war to end the United States government's effort to seize Indian land.  During the time, Governor Harrison made and broke a treaty that caused the Indians to lose still more land.  Tecumseh was devastated and even threatened to kill Harrison when the two had a brief meeting. Twenty-nine years later, Tecumseh was enraged when he learned that Harrison had been elected President on a slogan that praised his destruction of the village on November 7, 1811 (the same date as this year's Presidential election).  The slogan is well known: "Tippecanoe and Tyler too."  The name Tyler is in reference to John Tyler, his running mate. Legend has it that shortly before he died, Chief Tecumseh issued a statement that in effect said that Harrison would die in office and likewise all other Presidents elected in the year ending in "0". President William Henry Harrison died one month after taking office.  Over the next 120 years, all Presidents elected in a year ending in "0" have died in office, except for Ronald Reagan, as we noted. FYI:  President Bush swore in on the very same Bible that President Washington swore into office on.  He is the 6th President to do so.  The previous President was his father.  The Bible was guarded and presented by 3 officers of the Free Mason society.  So if this doesn't tell you who he is, I guess nothing will.

The rich fools have done it again!

The dreadful earthquake that shook El Salvador, has the destroyed lives and taken the property of many.  It has always been reported that there has been certain destructions that could have been avoided in natural disasters.  Here is an example:   In one of the villages in El Salvador, some rich people built luxury homes on the hillside over looking the people in the valley.  The people in the valley complained that the area in which the homes were being built was very unstable to hold such weight.  The people went as far as going to court to stop the building.  The court ruled in favor of the builders and ignored the complaints of the poor people.  That following Saturday, the earthquake occurred and so say it, so be it.  Every last home fell on top of the poor people and their homes in the valley.   Now no where has anywhere to live and lives have been lost.   Economic development is very important to every country, but to willingly make disastrous conditions for such development can only work contrary to the concept of building.

Ethiopia-Eritrea Peace Treaty in Limbo

Reports that arguments over the borders of Ethiopia and Eritrea have again flared up after the signing of the Peace Treaty.  There are still disputes over certain areas in the border conflict that have yet to be resolved.  There is a call for UN Peace keepers to come in the area.  In the meantime talks are still being pursued to hold the peace treaty together.  The interest of the West is hoping to see the treaty stay together, for committing more troops into the area would put a strain on forces already deployed in other areas, such as the Baulkins region in Europe.  Again, we pray that peace and justice will find itself in our HOME.

Where is the Black Man, the Black Woman, the Black Educator, the Black Pastor, the Black Doctor, the Black Professional, the Black Nation, the Black Government that is not locked in debt to the same people that put chains around the ankles of great grandmother ? When chains were released from around the ankles, ECONOMIC DEBT was put in their place. Anyone who studies THE SYSTEM OF SHARE-CROPPING which followed Chattel Slavery in the US, would see how DEBT was used to keep slaves under the control of their owners. DEBT IS A CONTROL TOOL.  All the "INDEPENDENCE" that African Nations have today has not freed them from the INVADER'S control. DEBT ensures that SLAVES obey orders.  Never should one lose sight of the fact that DEBT IS A CONTROL TOOL. A TRULY responsible Father, a truly responsible Mother, a truly responsible Educator, a truly responsible Pastor, a truly responsible Leader is one who considers well the consequences of this reality. One of our bright thinkers, Dr John Henrik Clarke said "The events which transpired five thousand years ago, five years ago or five minutes ago have determined what will happen five minutes from now; five years from now, or five thousand years from now. ALL HISTORY IS CURRENT EVENT." As an actor on the stage of history, Man is a maker of events and therefore must ask of himself, IN WHAT WAYS AM I PERSONALLY STRENGTHENING OR LOOSENING THE CORDS OF STRANGULATION THAT COULD END UP BINDING MY CHILDREN TOMORROW ? How is my cultural behavior contributing to tightening the chains or slackening the chains ? As long as one does not consider mental suicide as an option, these questions should be foremost on one's mind in these crucial times. It is not enough to know that Chattel Slavery laid the groundwork for the present day economic bondage of SERVERY, but one must also ask HOW IS MY PRESENT LIFESTYLE CONTRIBUTING TO THIS SITUATION where we always have to be struck with fear and apprehension whenever a new white boy takes over from an ole white boy. This is a serious concern to those that are TRULY RESPONSIBLE guardians of families and thereby guardians of the Race. What is certain right now is that the crucial need for TRUE LIBERATION from PERSISTENT SERVITUDE calls for far more than an education that just EDUCATES ONE TO TAKE ORDERS.  All that has done so far is to create a class of HIGHER PAID BLACK SERVANTS totally dependent on the white boy's decisions. IT WILL TAKE A TRUE EDUCATION TO BRING A TRUE LIBERATION, and one should not mistake the ability to live in a prettier house or eat more super market foods as an indicator of TRUE SELF EMPOWERMENT AND TRUE LIBERATION.  That kind of dependent relationship with the white boy always leaves one in an IN-SECURE situation where THE BOSS' DECISION could be perilous in one's life. At this crossroads in history's journey, the one whose consciousness meets these words is being confronted with two options. Either one is going to take one's family and one's Race down the path of FALSE VALUES AND FALSE PRIORITIES which leads to further ECONOMIC BONDAGE and probable demise, or one is going to strengthen the path of CULTURAL RESISTANCE and adopt the DISCIPLINED life styles that lead to eventual AFRIKAN LIBERATION. A TRULY RESPONSIBLE PERSON does not leave his responsibility to THE LORD. He is asking questions and searching for answers, knowing that MAN crafts not only his immediate offspring's destiny but also the destiny of future generations and ultimately the destiny of his own Race. When all the individual black families are put together, they all form A RACE of people who all share the same historical and present circumstance. Therefore CONCERN FOR RACE must be the logical outcome of CONCERN FOR FAMILY. If "RELIGION" has educated one out of A RACIAL PERSPECTIVE, then it has succeeded in the treacherous job of MAKING THE SLAVE VIEW HIMSELF FROM THE OWNER'S POINT OF VIEW. THE BLACK MAN (AND BLACK WOMAN) WHO IS TRULY LIVING and has not joined THE RANKS OF THE WALKING DEAD is not viewing himself from the white man's point of view. He is looking with concern at his historical and present family and the wide connection of circumstances that bind all such families.   In the same way that a man who is dying from famine is subjective about his hunger, in the same way that an accident victim is subjective about his pain when he is on the stretcher; in the same way, THE LIVING BLACK MAN AND LIVING BLACK WOMAN is subjective about the circumstances that now beset the immediate family and the larger family which is his and her Race. There is no way that the man on the stretcher should view his pain like the man driving the ambulance. MARCUS GARVEY saw this quite clearly, and that his why he taught the Black Man to PUT RACE FIRST. All he was really saying is that as an Afrikan, one should think COLLECTIVELY and not individually.  One should be conscious that the pain of one's historical and present circumstance is shared by a particular group. It is natural that shared circumstances should demand shared concerns. Those who taught that one should not mention or think of RACE are the same ones that that have always been busy collaborating in ensuring that one race remains first.  This distancing of oneself from one's group responsibility is one of the reasons why the poverty-burdened and debt-burdened Race of black families today is standing at these crossroads with the further prospect of seeing their Race CONTINUING TO BE LAST IN SURVIVAL CHANCES. Think of it, MOST in Aids deaths, MOST in famine deaths, MOST in prison populations, MOST in malnutrition, MOST in UNDER-DEVELOPMENT, and MOST in TOTAL DEPENDENCE. All of these are symptoms of AN ENDANGERED SPECIES. The consequence of not putting Race first is to ignore the warning signs of A PARTICULAR GROUP'S imminent extinction. Unless there is a miraculous shattering of this GRIP OF IGNORANCE quite quickly, it is quite foreseeable that at the end of this millennium, those that will be found looking out of Zoos may be those of the human species who had for a long time collaborated in their own DOMESTICATION. This is really not a joke. There is no limit to how far ECONOMIC CONTROL can drive a people to go. Right now it has been reported that in some Hotels, young black boys are being dressed up as "slaves" to serve at the table, just to cater to the nostalgia of former times.   In fact, the number of young Black boys and girls that are being drawn into PROSTITUTION is skyrocketing alarmingly. But face it, PROSTITUTION IS THE LOGICAL OUTCOME OF ECONOMIC BONDAGE, and it is not only the selling of sex, but also the selling of principle, the selling of Integrity, the selling of pride and the selling of manhood and womanhood.  The nations and people who are bound by THE DEBT OF ECONOMIC BONDAGE become helpless passengers on the ship of modern civilization. They will always be LIVING IN UNCERTAINTY as to the other man's plans for the future of their children. They will always be CONFORMING to what the other man determines is PROPER. They will always be looking over their shoulder to see if their actions have the other man's approval. They will always have to smile and clown and play pranks for the amusement of the other man. Without a doubt, the man or nation that holds any people in such DEBT virtually becomes THEIR OWNER AND THEIR GOD. If there is still any place left in the mind of the Black Man and Black Woman called BASIC SANITY AND SELF-RESPECT, they will be seriously concerned about where the ship is heading. One will not be gearing one's education towards A BETTER SERVANT JOB ON THE PLANTATION or BETTER PAY FOR A SERVANT JOB ON THE PLANTATION. One will be using one's CREATIVITY and one's EDUCATION TO ACHIEVE AFRIKAN LIBERATION. This is the time now when BLACK SCHOLARS must ask themselves HOW COME we have so many degrees, so many doctorates, so many professorships, so many GREEK LETTERS, so many titles and yet we all still got to look up to the BOSS and worry about whether our actions are all right with the BOSS. Should TRUE INDEPENDENCE for ourselves and our race not be the main task and concern of our EDUCATED BRAINS in this time ? How come with our wealth of knowledge we can only run things for the other man but cannot find one little clue about HOW TO CONTROL THINGS ? Another man used his BRAINS to take control of our lives, shouldn't we be using our BRAINS to regain control of our lives ? Should the destiny of BLACK PEOPLE always be left to "GOD" and the WHITE MAN? The WHITE MAN sent "GOD" to the sky and with the help of our involuntary labor set to work building his heaven on earth. Shouldn't we as Afrikan people be embracing a philosophy which sees "GOD"in ourselves so that we can lift up our heads and accept that it is our responsibility to implement THE VISION OF AFRIKAN LIBERATION here on earth ? So just in case the question may be asked, what does this all have to do with LIVING DELICIOUSLY IN HAMBURGER-HEAVEN : In the space of one century, THE OWNERS worked a miracle and transformed HELL PLANTATION into HAMBURGER HEAVEN. Blinded by an illusion of prosperity, slaves mistook A BORROWED CAR, A BORROWED HOUSE AND UNFETTERED ACCESS TO THE SUPERMARKET for freedom. So many "sweet things" were introduced on the Plantation that FREEDOM lost her desirable form and her virginity. She became instead, a woman lost in the dark corridors of forgetful and satiated minds.THE IDEALS of TRUE FREEDOM became feather-light and ghostly, irrelevant relics of a time when there were no "sweet things" on the Plantation. Enchanted by "Days of our lives", "The Young and the restless" and "The Bold and the beautiful" Afrikans near and far, started to see their world through the white man's eyes. With just a little word-ology, the SLAVE MASTER changed his name from "MASSA" to "BANK," and the unsuspecting signed the dotted line and gave their lives back to their FORMER OWNERS. From the time Black folks acquired THE WHITE PERSPECTIVE, African traditional garments lost their appeal and became "DUSTY COSTUMES" reserved for only the very rare occasion of "Blackness." Along with that, the head with wooly and kinky hair lost the beauty competition to STRAIGHTENED BLONDE SILK FEATHERS. Acceptance of something very natural and very normal about being born with a unique CREATOR-GIVEN hair type became unthinkable and we have been convinced that THE WHITE MAN'S HAIR is higher on the evolutionary ladder of the human species. Convinced that his CLOTHING is more beautiful and his general world view is more correct, we have considered ourselves privileged to be well paid servants in HAMBURGER HEAVEN. looking at the fate of those not privileged to live in the Big House, we praise the LORD and feel thankful that we got a free ride on the ole slave ship H.M.S. JESUS OF LUBEC. Hypnotized by the "goodies" in the White Man's kitchen, the cry no longer is "WE WANT FREE," but "WE WANT BETTER SERVANT JOBS ON THE PLANTATION" In such a "privileged" situation with our safety in the BANK who cares about CULTURAL RESISTANCE AND AFRIKAN LIBERATION when the White man has invented HAMBURGER HEAVEN?"

What in the world is in the water in Florida? A state judge has refused to sentence a drug offender to jail because he is a white man of small stature and would be a target for sexual assault. Huh? Instead, the judge will send the convicted felon to a treatment center. Upon making her decision earlier this month, Hillsborough County Judge Florence Foster said, "He's a small, thin, white man with curly dark hair, and I suspect he would certainly become a sexual target in the Florida state prison system." Apparently, the judge has the inside scoop on the going rate of "sweet meat" in the penitentiary and thinks this guy's dance card would be too full. The judge likened a jail sentence for the man to cruel and unusual punishment. Prosecutors objected when Foster imposed the sentence, saying he deserved some prison time and area law authorities believe Foster's statement was fairly racist, but Foster says that she is simply trying to help drug offenders with their drug problem. Hmmm, the white boys get help; the brothers get hell.

The Earth continues to Rumble

Five different areas, India, Pakistan, Japan, Greece, and Ohio were struck with earthquakes simultaneously.  All except India and Pakistan received minor quakes that shook items in homes and caused minor damage.  India is said to have thousands who have perished and thousands of homes destroyed.   Many people are becoming very nervous because such activities were expected to occur in the year 2000, but instead have occurred in the beginning of 2001.  These mystics cannot be answered for because many churches have preached that the coming of Christ would be in 2000 when all destruction would appear.  For sure, the foolish forecasting will definitely discontinue because if this is the action to behold in the beginning of a new era, the rest of the year's judgments we will all have to pray and ask for guidance.

Casto makes upsetting comments

Fidel Castro has been noted to have publicly made some upsetting comments about the new President of the United States.  Castro reportedly said, "I hope the President is not as stupid as he looks."  Many US journalists are upset that Castro is making such rhetoric if he is trying to make better relations with America.  Still, that is in contrast to Colin Powell's statements during his confirmation hearings for Secretary of State, where he spoke of the old tyrant ruling in Cuba when speaking of the different nations that have to be dealt with by the US.  For further information, his other statements toward Cuba had nothing to do with finding a way for both countries to work together.

"W" Was it really a peaceful transition?

As the transition of the government takes place, there seems to be a wind of malice flowing through the White House.  A peaceful transition should entail a passing of the baton to continue the race.  The Clinton administration is being accused of damaging and stealing many things out of the White House.  One of the missing items is the letter "w" on all of the typewriters and keyboards.  Along with this, nude pictures were displayed on walls with red paint.  The Clintons were also accused of looting the White House of $200,000 worth of items.  According to some officials, there have always been pranks or jokes played on the incoming administrations in the past, but this one takes the cake or did the Clintons do it?! This is said in joke, but it is sinful to know that these people do as they do as leaders of a COUNTRY.  There are 2 million individuals and multiples arrested for such crimes that cannot find a way to lead normal lives in this hypocritical system.  For President Clinton to get excluded from all charges, while he only pardons the rich, the poor and have-not should see what their grand savior has done.

YEARS YOUNG: IMPRISONED FOR LIFE

The 13-year old child, Lionel Tate, who was convicted of murdering his 6-year old playmate,Tiffany Eunick, has many very upset with the system.  Lionel Tate will be facing a life sentence with no parole.  His defense was that he was practicing wrestling moves which he saw on TV.  The chile weighed 170 pounds at the time of the incident and has a size difference to the little girl.  Still, who is not prepared to say that bigger children who play with smaller children always encounter the danger of not knowing their own strength.  This is why SUPERVISION of our children is very important.  Both of these children's lives have ended for the worse. The poor and have-not should be well aware that the system is now taking our children as they have done before, only they are taking them away at younger ages.  Maybe they are afraid of the prophecy that a child shall always lead the way.  By constantly providing these youths with idle entertainment and not the fulfilling natural education, we will certainly continue to open the door for Satan to come in.  REMEMBER:  THE CARE OF CHILDREN IS NOT A BURDEN, IT IS A BLESSING.

Jackson's Wife: Honored She-roe

A Black female Representative (D-Chicago) has put out that Mrs. Jackson is a She-roe for standing by her adultering husband and not being one of those women who run off with another man.  She feels that Mrs. Jackson should be commended and her efforts should be followed.  These statements arose much anger with married women, especially Black females that found her statement to be atrocious.  They are not complaining about Mrs. Jackson's decision, but preaching it as the way to go, is not the way to go. The question is, Mrs Jackson should know why she is doing what she is doing because if it is a deceitful ploy to make some kind of moral ending to a story that has yet to unfold, it could cause economic disaster for the Jackson Family as well as adding to the confusion. There are journalists such as Bill O'Reilly who are pushing for an investigation into Rev. Jackson's finances and his coalitions.   Not only will he be condemned for his moral flaw, but his financial state is also in jeopardy, for they will go after him as they went after the mob, so look out for the untouchable squad which will come under John Ashcroft.  Inevitably, the judgment of the ALMIGHTY will be the harshest any man or woman will ever have to face.

Italian doctors push for human cloning

An Italian doctor came to Lexington Kentucky this week to gain support for his human cloning project to begin in Rome next year.  Rome would like to have the project be an international project.  It seems that the decreasing population in Italy is one of the factors for the hard push amongst so much protests.  The Pope had previously taken on the battle of women wearing pants and the delay in families reproducing children for their careers.  The death rates are rising faster than the birth rates in Italy.  Even with the natural disasters taking place, the Caucasian man is still a minority.   Many are asking how can the Vatican approve of such a project in Rome on moral grounds?  Yet the people should not be surprised because Rome has a history of going with actions that have nothing to do with morality, only their own gain.
